Galvalume steel coil is based on cold-rolled steel strip as substrate, it is solidified of 55% aluminum, 43.4 zinc and 1.6% silicon solidi-filed at 600℃ high temperature and composition. Prepainted galvalume steel coil combines durability, excellent heat resistance, and formability of aluminum, and those of zinc that offer high heat resistance and excellent corrosion protection, to form into this kind of dense crystalline quaternary alloy coated steel.The surface of the galvalume steel sheet is characterized by smooth, flat and gorgeous stars, and its base color is silver white.

Galvalume(Aluzinc) Steel Coil Process

 

The common manufacturing process is known as the hot-dipping process. Let's review step by step.

1. Pre-treatment: Through the pre-treatment system, the contaminants on the surface of the base metal will be removed. It often includes degreasing, rinsing, pickling, etc.

2. Hot-dip Galvalume Process: After going through the annealing furnace, steel sheets are dipped into the Al-Zn pool. Then there is an air knife to remove the extra coating to keep the thickness of the coating.

3. Inspection & Coiling

The coated steel sheet will go through the quality control system and then be rolled up for sale.

So the structure of Galvalume steel includes: Base metal (cold-rolled steel sheets)

The al-Zn coating layer (top and back sides)
