Mechanical Graphite Seal Part

Mechanical Graphite Seal Part

Product Description

We can produce mechanical graphite seal part. Main types of mechanical graphite:Resin impregnated graphite, Copper graphite, antimony graphite.

There are several main types of mechanical graphite materials:

Resin-Impregnated Graphite:
Resin-impregnated graphite involves the use of synthetic resins, primarily phenolic resin or epoxy resin, to saturate graphite. This process fills both surface imperfections and internal pores. Subsequently, the resin is cured and subjected to heat treatment. This treatment maintains the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of the graphite, but it results in lower thermal conductivity and a reduced coefficient of linear expansion. Resin-impregnated graphite is cost-effective and suitable for mass production. It finds applications in devices such as automobile cooling water pumps and low-load household appliance seals.

Copper-Graphite Material:
Copper graphite material is a unique self-lubricating material that can be chosen based on specific usage and conditions. It boasts a high load-bearing capacity, resistance to impact, high-temperature tolerance, and excellent self-lubricating properties. This type of material is particularly well-suited for applications involving overloading, low-speed operation, reciprocating or swinging movements, situations where lubrication is challenging, and environments susceptible to water and acid erosion. Copper graphite materials are widely employed in various industries, including metallurgical continuous casting machines, rolling equipment, mining machinery, shipping, steam turbines, water turbines, injection molding machines, and production line equipment.

Antimony Graphite:
Antimony graphite is an exceptional self-lubricating and anti-friction material. It can operate effectively in extreme temperature ranges, from as high as 500°C to as low as -253°C. It is suitable for high-speed applications reaching up to 20,000 RPM, high-pressure environments up to 10 MPa, and conditions involving high-viscosity fluids such as water, oil, and kerosene. Notably, antimony does not dissolve in water, hydrochloric acid, or strong alkali solutions. When subjected to increased loads and higher speeds, antimony in antimony graphite exhibits rare instances of friction-induced melting with steel. Consequently, antimony graphite materials can also be utilized in media such as water, hydrochloric acid, and strong alkali solutions. The leaching of antimony graphite material can incorporate materials like silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, or stainless steel.
