Most international valve standards require that valves cannot be subjected to high clamping forces before increasing the test pressure - a requirement that is almost impossible to achieve with hydraulic clamping. For many years, Suncenter valve test stands have been equipped with our superior automatic sealing head technology. These heads convert the test fluid pressure directly into clamping pressure, ensuring a smooth and linear increase in clamping force as the test fluid pressure is increased.

Our full line of hydrostatic testing systems perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of flanged, socket welded, butt welded, female and special end valves. Our systems are designed to test gate valves, globe valves, check valves, plugs, ball valves, needle valves, butterfly valves, control valves, safety relief valves and special valves, fittings and piping. We work with our customers to apply the latest product designs and systems on the market today to meet specific industry valve testing requirements.

Valve test benches are used for a variety of applications such as intermediate and final inspections by valve manufacturers, testing of new valves on delivery and routine or post-repair testing of valves in service. These include, for example, valve housing pressure tests, seat leakage tests and safety valve set pressure tests.

Other components can also be pressure tested, such as water tanks, motor housings, pump housings, fittings, insulators, etc. Special clamping devices may be required to clamp these test pieces.

Valve test benches are used wherever globe and control valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, safety valves, globe valves, angle valves, two-way and three-way valves need to be tested.

The valve test bench thus fulfils an important function by checking and ensuring the operational safety and perfect functioning of the above-mentioned valve types.

The valve to be tested is firmly clamped to the valve test bench. The corresponding valve is tested by pressurising the test specimen with the internal pressure specified for the test. A liquid or gaseous test medium is used.
