Product Description

Fiber Optic Distribution Box is another widely used product aimed at enhancing network performance. Its purpose is to protect the connection points where optical cables access the user's end, making them more stable, waterproof, and dustproof.

The fiber optic distribution box is used to convert distribution cables into individual cables to reach the end users.

It provides a secure point for splicing, branching, distributing, straight-through, or fiber optic termination, preventing environmental hazards such as dust, moisture, water, or UV rays when used outdoors.

Distribution boxes are used in the telecommunications industry for FTTH (in-floor or in-wall), FTTB (in-wall), and FTTC (usually on poles) architectures, especially in LANs using ODF (Optical Distribution Frame). They are designed for data centers, video transmission, fiber optic sensing, and whenever distributing optical signals to end-users is required.

A common use of distribution boxes is as interconnection boxes for raising cables and introducing cables for FTTH deployment, whether it involves installing splitters or connectors or just joint installations.

In this regard, the internal structure of the distribution box needs to be considered. Some are equipped with splice trays, some with splitter trays, and some with a combination of both, along with adapter brackets allowing direct connections inside the box. Some distribution boxes have available connectors on the outside, saving time and preventing dust and moisture from entering the box every time it is opened.

Capacity of FDB

This capacity ranges from 4 cores to 24 or 48 cores, and even more if needed.

Considerations include the number of cable entries and exits allowed by the box, as well as the use of cable sections inside and outside the box, placed at the bottom to help maintain waterproofing.

The focus of a telecommunications network is bandwidth and transmission speed. The distribution box doesn't improve transmission; instead, it protects and ensures the stability of communication. Additionally, its design is user-friendly, aiming to save time and manpower costs in deployment and maintenance as much as possible.
