1 What's evaporator?

The car air conditioning evaporator is a vital component of the car air conditioning system. We have 12V and 24V evaporators for replacing original car/truck evaporator and the evaporators to work with parking air conditioning system. The evaporator can be for cooling only, or both cooling and heating air.

Car evaporator working principle:

The working principle of the automobile evaporation mainly utilizes the process of the refrigerant changing from liquid to gaseous state (i.e. evaporation). During this process, a large amount of surrounding heat will be absorbed to achieve the cooling effect.

When the air conditioner starts working, the blower blows the outside air through the evaporator box, exchanges heat with the refrigerant in the evaporator box, lowers the air temperature, and then delivers the cold air to the cab to provide a comfortable riding environment for the passengers.

Car evaporator component:

The evaporation box is mainly composed of a heating chamber and an evaporation chamber. The heating chamber provides the heat required for evaporation of the liquid, causing the liquid to boil and evaporate; the evaporation chamber completely separates the liquid phase through the ventilation channel.

There are two other important things in the car evaporation box: the heater water tank and the air conditioner. The heater tank is used to heat the air, while the cooling fin is used to cool the air.

2. What's the function of the evaporator?

The main function of the automobile air conditioner evaporator is to change the refrigerant from liquid to gaseous state. After absorbing a large amount of surrounding heat, the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant vapor enters the compressor and achieves the purpose of low-temperature refrigeration through repeated processes.

In summer, the car air conditioning evaporator can significantly reduce the temperature inside the car, provide a comfortable riding environment for the passengers, reduce the driver's fatigue intensity, and improve driving safety.

3.How to maintain evaporator?

When a car air conditioner evaporator fails, the vehicle needs to be sent to a professional repair shop. Technicians will use specialized diagnostic equipment to read the vehicle's fault codes to determine the problem.

If the problem does lie in the evaporator box, the technician will disassemble the relevant parts for inspection. If the evaporator box is found to be damaged, it will be replaced with a new one.

After replacing the evaporator box, the technician will also perform exhaust, fluorine filling and other operations on the entire air conditioning system to ensure that the system returns to normal working condition.

4. Common faults and solutions:

If the blowing temperature is too low, the evaporator may be frozen. It is recommended to go to a repair shop for professional maintenance and inspection.

The temperature-sensing tongue is not sensitive and needs to be replaced.

If the sound is loud, the compressor may be working at full capacity. It is recommended to go to a repair shop or 4S shop for professional maintenance and inspection.

If there is water leakage, the evaporator may be broken and the evaporator needs to be replaced.

If the evaporator pipe is blocked or the pipe is open and welded, the evaporator needs to be cleaned or replaced and re-fluoridated according to standards.
