1. What is diesel heater?

 

The diesel heater, also known as parking heater, is fuel heating device, not taking heat from engine. It has its own fuel lines, circuits, combustion heating devices and control devices. Its main function is to preheat the engine and cab of a car parked in a low-temperature environment in winter without starting the engine, thereby eliminating the wear and tear on the engine caused by cold start, and providing a warm driving environment.

 

The following is a detailed introduction to the diesel heater:

 

According to the medium classification, parking heaters can be divided into water/liquid heaters and air heaters. According to the type of fuel, parking heaters can be divided into gasoline heaters and diesel heaters.

 

For diesel air heaters, the heating power includes 2KW, 5KW and 8KW. For split diesel heaters, ABS plastic cover and aluminum cover are optional, 1 nozzle and 4 nozzles optional too. The whole diesel air heater set includes main heater, tube and fittings, fuel pump, holding frame, muffler, remote control and so on. For all in one diesel heaters, it’s split diesel heaters plus iron or plastic cover, used for vehicle or home heating (110V/220V).

 

For water/liquid diesel heaters, the heating power covers 5KW, 10-16KW, 30KW and 40KW. For the input voltage, 12V and 24V are optional.

The functions of diesel heaters mainly depend on control board and LED displays, including timer, Bluetooth, GSM control and so on.

 

Water/liquid diesel heater’s advantages:

The engine and car interior can be preheated simultaneously without starting the engine.

Preheating is convenient, with remote control and timing system, making it convenient to heat the vehicle at any time.

Extend engine life and avoid wear and tear caused by cold starts.

Precautions for use:

When the temperature drops, use the appropriate gear in advance.

The oil pipe joint cannot be disassembled.

The power supply must be fused, and the fuse capacity must not be greater than 15 amps.

Appropriately increase the number of diesel filter element replacements and use standard filter elements.

3. Instruction for displays

 

Guide for LED 5 buttons display

 

 

● Power on/off by

* To match the remote control and the heater, press the left upper button on the switch for 3 seconds, it will show “433” on the screen; press “+” button on the remote control and “433” will disappear. Then remote control will work.

* Pump fuel：While the heater is connected to power but not start yet, press the lower button “OK” for 3 seconds, then the fuel pump will work. After fuel pumping is enough, press this button again to stop it.

* ▲ for up; ▼ for down

* Automatic mode: while heater is running, press “OK” for 3 seconds. It will work from 19℃ to 35℃. If pressing it for another 3 seconds, it will be into manual mode again.

Under manual mode, Level One is economic mode to save fuel.

* When it shows 24V or 12V, it means input voltage.

Indoor temperature setting：-45℃ to 45℃

Fan speed：0RPM——4550RPM

Pump: 0HZ——5.5HZ

Glow plug: 0w——100w

 

Error codes:

E01 Fuel pump open/short circuit

E02 Glow plug open/short circuit

E03 Fan motor open/short circuit+ sensor disfunction

E04 Sensor cover over heat more than 260℃; sensor open/short circuit

E05 Input voltage too high; 12v heater more than 16v; 24v heater more than 32v

E06 Input voltage too low; 12v heater less than 8.5v; 24v heater less than 18v;

E07 Signal lost;

Remote control can't receive signals from computer board; check the switch cables

E08 Distinguishing Fail to start fire or fire distinguishing

 

Timer setting:

● Start time setting:

When the heater is off but power connected, press ▲ for 2 seconds, it will enter start time setting and shows “s min” on the screen, then press “OK”, ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the time. When the value/number is more than 0, it means start time has been set and ready to start. And there will be a o’clock on the screen for time counting down, waiting to start. (If the heater is running, the start time setting function can’t be used.)

 

● Shutdown time setting:

When the heater is off but power connected, press ▼ for 2 seconds, it will enter shutdown time setting and shows “h min” on the screen, then press “OK”, ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the time. When the value/number is more than 0, it means start time has been set and ready to shut down. And the clock on the screen will keep flashing, waiting for shutdown.

 

● How to quit time setting, press on/off button shortly to quit.

 

Time setting example:

If the heater needs to start 30 minutes later and work for 2 hours and shut down.

● Keep pressing ▲ to enter start time setting, adjust the start time to 0030, then briefly press on/off to quit. Then start time setting is done.

● Keep pressing ▼ to enter shutdown time setting, adjust the shutdown time to 0120, then briefly press on/off to quit. Then the shutdown time setting is done.

* Heat air outlet fire symbol: when the radiator reaches 20℃，the fire on the screen is blue, 50℃ is yellow; 70℃ is blue yellow and red.

* When the heater is running, press “OK” for 2 seconds, heat mode is optional. AUTO for keeping same temperature, without AUTO means setting target temperature manually.

 

Guide for Bluetooth type display

 

 

Turn ON/OFF the Heater: Clicked the ON/OFF Key to turn ON or OFF the heater

Change the Run Modes: Clicked the adjust knob to change the run mode for the heater.it well Loop at manual Mode and automatic mode

Output power Level or setting temperature adjust: In the manual mode turn the knob to adjust the output power and the power level is show in the bottom of displayer. in the automatic mode turn the knob to adjust can adjust the setting temperature. the displayer while show the set temperature by blink;

Remote controller authorization: while heater On status, at the same time pushed the SET key and ON/OFF key greater than 3s until the displayer show En00, then turn the knob clockwise to show En08,next pushed the adjust knob greater than 3s until the displayer show P1. In this function the P1 can pair the adjust up key in the remoter、P2 can pair the adjust down key in the remoter、P3 can pair the Mode change key in the remoter 、P4 can pair the ON/OFF key in the remoter.

Bluetooth Password setup: the first run the Air heater Bluetooth app open the setup dialog in the password option set new password save and exit the dialog. then turn on the heater , next at the same time pushed the SET key and ON/OFF key greater than 3s until the displayer show En00, then turn the knob clockwise to show “bLE” on center and 4 digital number (default:1234) password in the top right corner, next pushed the adjust knob greater than 3s until the password is blinking. when display SUc the new password setup succeed.

 

Fuel level reset: while heater On status, pushed the FUEL LEVEL RESET key greater than 7s

Fuel tank capacity setting: while Heater On status，pushed SET key greater than 4s until displayer show F0 on the top left corner and time on the top right corner of displayer. turn the knob clockwise to show F6. Click the knob into setup mode and the capacity value is blinking. turn the knob can adjust the capacity value in 5 to 50L by 5L/ step. when display “—” means disable this function. click the knob again to save the setup value（default is 10L）

Flow rate of electromagnetic pump setting: while Heater On status，pushed SET key greater than 4s until displayer show F0 on the top left corner and time on the top right corner of displayer. turn the knob clockwise to show F7 .click the knob into setup mode and the flow rate is blinking. turn the knob can adjust the flow rate value in 16-22-28-32 click the knob again to save the setup value and exit edit mode.

Time Setting: while Heater On status，pushed SET key greater than 4s until displayer show F0 on the top left corner and time on the top right corner of displayer. turn the knob clockwise can Looped display F0-F1-F2-F3

 

In a Fx option clicked the knob into edit mode and clicked the knob can select the set option, click the ON/OFF key to exit edit mode。in the edit mode the display blink the set data the running time set range 0.5 ~ 10 hour ，set step 0.5 hour。while Timer switch display t-oF the Timer is disable, display t-on the Timer is enable.

 

Intelligent start-stop mode: while Heater On status，pushed SET key greater than 4s until displayer show F0 on the top left corner and time on the top right corner of displayer. turn the knob clockwise to show F9, next click the knob, the displayer blinking the oF or on, turn the knob can looped display at AUon (enable the Intelligent start-stop mode) or AUoF (disable Intelligent start-stop mode). click the knob again to save and exit edit mode.

 

Select Language: while Heater On status，pushed SET key greater than 4s until displayer show F0 on the top left corner and time on the top right corner of displayer. Turn the knob clockwise to show F4, next click the knob, the displayer blinking the select language, turn the knob can looped display at C(Chinese) or E(English) or R(Russian) or -(mute), click the knob to save the selected language

 

Execute pumping Fuel program independent: Unplug the control panel and press the FUEL LEVEL RESET key, then plug in the control panel, the control panel will be powered self-test, about 15s until the screen shows the tank and oil pump icon then release the key. The pumping program automatically stops or closes the control panel after 180s to terminate the pumping program

When execute this program attention don`t pumping too much fuel into the heater

 

when the heater fails, the corresponding logo will be blinking on the display, at the same time the fault code shows on the display. The fault cause and solution refer to in the table below

 

E01 Startup failure

Check the fuel tank whether empty and add it or check the fuel pipe whether blocked

 

E02 Lack of fuel

Check the fuel tank whether empty and add it

 

E03 Supply Voltage Overrun

check the battery output voltage whether between in 9V and 16V for the 12V Heater and between 18V and 30V for 24V Heater

 

E04 Outlet sensor fault

Check the sensor plugin whether disconnected if not replace it with a new one

 

E05 Inlet sensor fault

replace the ECU

 

E06 pulse pump fault

Check the pump plugin whether disconnected if not replace it with a new one

 

E07 Fan fault

Check the Fan plugin whether disconnected if not replace it with a new one

 

E08 Ignition unit fault
