Working principle:

 

A DC generator is mainly composed of a stator and a rotor. The stator is made of a set of windings, while the rotor is made of a set of permanent magnets.

When the rotor of a DC generator begins to spin, the magnetic field travels along the surface of the rotor and interacts with the conductors in the stator windings, causing a change in magnetic flux.

Changes in magnetic flux cause electrons in a conductor to move, creating an electric current. Through the commutation action of two Schenken comb brushes (also called commutators) and the brushes, it is ensured that DC electromotive force is drawn out from the brush end.

 

For the DC generators, we mainly produce gasoline DC generators because it’s more silent. For the voltage, 12V, 24V, 48V, 60V, 72V DC generators are optional. From cooling method, DC generators can be divided into air cooling and water-cooling DC generators. The output power ranges from 3KW to 8KW.

3. Water-Cooled DC Generator Manual

 

A. Warning

* The main engine power of this machine is a gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine, gasoline is flammable, and extra attention should be paid to safety when using it.

* High temperature exhaust gas is discharged from the silencer port, the temperature can be over 300C, keep away from flammable materials, the exhaust port must be ventilated.

* The DC output of this machine (including 48V, 60, 72V, etc.) is a high-current output, installation, use, maintenance, and wiring should be installed in the battery line insurance device. In the event of a short circuit in the line, the power supply can be cut off in time to prevent short-circuit caused by burning line caused by fire.

* The generator is water-cooled, and it is prohibited to place the gasoline generator near the exhaust port of the automobile muffler, to use it in the toolbox with bad ventilation, and to use open fire beside the gasoline generator. Users do not use according to the above requirements, if a fire occurs, our company does not assume any responsibility.

* This machine is the engine is not EFI structure, is a carburetor type, please shut down the fuel tank switch and vent switch when not in use, so as not to cause fuel leakage due to road bumps, affecting the use of safety.

* This machine is powered by gasoline engine, users need to change the oil on time, please see Chapter IV for details.

Note: If you do not use the machine according to the above requirements, all the consequences should be borne by the user.

 

B. The Basic Use of Gasoline Engine Generator

 

* Engine Oil: This machine factory, the engine does not contain engine oil, please add the appropriate amount of oil before use, our factory gasoline engine selection SG 15W-40 # four-stroke gasoline engine lubricating oil.

Add oil precautions, oil must be added to the upper limit, that is, the generator is placed on the flat, the oil added to the oil is about to overflow from the mouth of the best.

* Fuel: The machine is filled with gasoline above No. 92, the fuel must be clean, there can be no water and impurities, the fuel of all kinds of containers must be clean. Prohibit the use of urea bucket filling gasoline.

* Electric start one open the fuel tank switch and reset switch, the carburetor windshield closed to about 3 cm gap, press the switch to start the generator power. If the generator fails to start normally once, it should be restarted after an interval of 15 seconds. After starting, open the carburetor damper, and the power will run normally.

* Ambient temperature a rise in ambient temperature, or engine warm-up, start method changes.

When the ambient temperature is high and the engine is hot, the carburetor damper should be closed 1/2 or fully opened to start the engine, and the rest of the conditions are the same as the cold start method.

E. Generator Installation and Precautions

* The engine and carburetor of this machine are perpendicular to the ground plane. So the bottom of the generator must be installed horizontally. I.e.: The generator carburetor oil cup must be horizontal, if it is tilted, it will cause the following problems affecting normal use.

* It may cause the carburetor overflow pipe to leak when going up or down a slope or driving on a bumpy road.

* It may cause the carburetor float not to close the inlet pipe tightly, so that a large amount of gasoline is poured into the engine, resulting in flooded cylinders.

* In addition, long time tilting the engine will cause, engine oil level tilt and lubrication is not good. The same is also easy to cause the engine cylinder.

* Generator on the motor and high-voltage packages, although all do have a waterproof treatment, but still must pay attention to do not extend the range extender directly in contact with water, in the installation must do a good job of waterproof, dust-proof treatment.

* Installation should be in a ventilated, non-water-contaminated place, and the wire routing should be separated from the heat source of the range extender, and the external wires must be installed to prevent short-circuit insurance device.

* Gasoline engine shutdown

If the user wants to shut down the generator before, must first turn off the high-power electrical appliances, generator speed down before shutting down the generator, and then turn off the oil switch (knob turn to face down).

 

F. Generator Operation

* Strictly in accordance with the wiring diagram correctly connected to all the electrical lines, line power lines, please install the user's own 100A insurance device, the user's power line shall be the national standard 6 square or 8 square copper-core soft wire, model QVR line or RV line.

* The winter needs to warm up 2-3 minutes, the engine temperature rises slowly load.

* Please according to the power consumption, appropriate choice of generator, not long-time overload use.

 

G. Maintenance and Servicing

To make the gasoline engine work reliably, reduce the wear and tear of parts, and prolong the service life, it is necessary to carry out the technical maintenance work of the gasoline engine technical maintenance is divided into the break-in period of maintenance, 50 hours of routine maintenance, 200 hours of major maintenance.

First、The engine break-in period (every 30 hours of work, use 100 hours for the break-in period)

* Clean up oil, dirt, and other spoils on the surface of the gasoline engine.

* Check whether there is oil leakage from the oil pipe joints, whether there is air leakage from the seals, whether the operation is normal, if there is any problem, please repair it in time.

* Check the fastening bolts, tighten the ones that are loose, and make up the ones that are loose.

* Drain the waste oil and replace it with new oil.

Second、After the engine break-in period, every use 50 hours of routine maintenance

* Drain the old oil and replace with new oil.

* Disassemble the air filter, clean the foam filter element with detergent and wring it out, and use compressed air to blow away the dust on the foam filter element from the inside out.

* Clean the spark plug carbon, adjust the electrode gap to 0.7-0.8mm (available white vinegar soak 1-2 hours, then brush clean).

* Remove the cylinder head, remove the top of the piston and the combustion chamber carbon, piston ring carbon buildup is more or glue, you need to remove the carbon in the piston ring groove.

* Dismantle the air guide, remove the dust and dirt on the inside of the air cover, cylinder head and cylinder block heat sink.

* Remove the motor wind shield, remove the motor rotor, motor spindle on the dust and dirt.

Third、200 hours of maintenance (after every 200 hours of work)

1) Finish all items of 50-hour maintenance.

2) Disassemble the carburetor and clean it thoroughly.

3) Remove the cylinder head assembly, connecting rod and piston assembly, and remove the carbon deposits on the exhaust port of the cylinder head, the top of the piston and the piston ring.

4) Eliminate oil and dirt on the flywheel fan.

5) Clean the fuel oil tank.

6) Check the ignition system: check and adjust the rocker arm gap (intake valve: 0.10mm, exhaust valve: 0.15mm); check the high-pressure wire and spark plug contact is good; check the sealing paper gasket leakage; check the cylinder compression, such as compression is poor need to further check the relevant parts; check the flywheel and the ignition gap: 04mm±015mm.

 

For long time not use sealed storage

If the gasoline engine needs to be stored for a long time, it should be stored according to the following requirements in order to prevent rust and corrosion damage:

1) Drain the gasoline from the fuel tank and carburetor.

2) Remove oil and dust from the surface of the gasoline engine.

3) Remove the spark plug.

4) Inject 20-25 drops of oil into the cylinder from the spark plug hole, turn the crankshaft several times, then place the piston in the upper stop position (top position of the piston), and then install the spark plug.

5) Pack it in a plastic bag and put it in a dry and ventilated place.
